About the User's Guide

The AskAnywhere Administrator User’s Guide provides information about using the AskAnywhere Administrator.  It includes the following sections.

  • About AskAnywhere -- provides a brief overview of the AskAnywhere survey system, describes the system and hardware requirements necessary to install and run it, and provides information about known bugs.
  • Getting Started -- provides information about how to launch the AskAnywhere Administrator and some general information to help you get acquainted with using it.
  • Licensing AskAnywhere -- provides instructions for obtaining a license for AskAnywhere.
  • Setting up Access -- provides information about setting up access permissions for the AskAnywhere Administrator.  It provides information about adding, editing, and/or deleting users and IP addresses that have permission to access the AskAnywhere Administrator.
  • Setting up Server Paths -- provides information about defining the path to the directories (repositories) where projects and data files are saved as well as defining the IP address or domain name of your AskAnywhere server.
  • Setting up Projects -- provides information about uploading projects to your AskAnywhere server, deleting projects from your server, testing the HTML and Java versions of your questionnaires, showing what questionnaires are currently in memory, and downloading the AskAnywhere CAPI application.
  • Setting up Database Connections -- provides information about defining external databases you want to access with AskAnywhere.
  • Accessing Survey Data -- provides information about accessing and viewing the results collected for any specific questionnaire in a variety of formats.
