  4. After you have selected Download Software, select the text indicated to download the AskAnywhere Server Component web archive.
  5. Save the askanywhereServer.zip file to your computer. Note: For future reference, ensure that you note the location of all files during each step of the installation process.
  6. Extract the askanywhereServer.zip file.
  7. Move or copy the extracted askanywhere.war file to Tomcat’s webapps directory.
  8. Move or copy the contents of the extracted lib folder to Tomcat’s lib directory.
  9. If you plan to use a JVM prior to 1.4, you must install a Java Secure Socket Extension (JSSE). To do this, download the JSSE 1.0.3 from Sun Microsystems' web site , extract the file, and move the jcert.jar, jnet.jar, and jsse.jar file to Java’s jre/liblext directory that will be used when running Tomcat.
  10. Start Tomcat using the startup script provided by the Tomcat installation. Note: If you selected the default server configuration, starting Tomcat automatically expands the askanywhere.war file. If you did not select the default server configuration, expand the askanywhere.war file manually.
  11. Verify that Tomcat is running correctly by opening your browser and going to http://localhost:8080/. You should see the default Tomcat home page and be able to test some of the servlet examples.
